Eye Care Services

Searching for an eye doctor in Schertz? Our experienced team of ophthalmologists and eye doctors are here to help you with all of your vision correction needs.

LASIK

LASIK is a popular laser vision correction procedure that helps reduce or eliminate your need for glasses or contact lenses. We use a highly precise laser to reshape your cornea so light focuses properly on the retina. It’s quick—usually about 15 minutes per eye—and most patients notice clearer vision almost immediately. Recovery is fast, and the results can be life-changing. If you’re nearsighted, farsighted, or have astigmatism, LASIK might be a great option for you.

Cataract Surgery

Cataracts happen when the natural lens in your eye becomes cloudy, making it hard to see clearly. During cataract surgery, we gently remove the cloudy lens and replace it with a clear artificial one, called an intraocular lens (IOL). We offer advanced lens options that can even correct distance and reading vision at the same time. The procedure is quick and virtually painless, and it’s one of the most common—and successful—surgeries performed in the U.S.

Glaucoma

Glaucoma is often called the “silent thief of sight” because it can damage your vision without noticeable symptoms. It’s caused by pressure building up inside the eye, which can harm the optic nerve. We use advanced diagnostic tools to catch it early and offer a full range of treatments—from eye drops to laser therapy and surgery—to help manage the pressure and protect your vision. The key with glaucoma is early detection and consistent care.

EVO ICL

If you’re not a good candidate for LASIK due to thin corneas or extreme nearsightedness, the EVO ICL might be right for you. It’s a tiny, flexible lens that we implant behind your iris and in front of your natural lens to help you see clearly without glasses or contacts. Unlike LASIK, this procedure is additive—meaning we’re not removing any corneal tissue—and it’s reversible if needed. Most patients enjoy immediate results with crisp, clear vision.

RLE

RLE is a vision correction procedure similar to cataract surgery, but it’s done before cataracts develop. We remove your eye’s natural lens and replace it with an artificial lens that can correct nearsightedness, farsightedness, and even presbyopia (the need for reading glasses). It’s a great option if you’re over 40 and looking for a long-term solution to reduce or eliminate the need for glasses or bifocals.

Cornea

Your cornea is the clear, dome-shaped surface on the front of your eye that helps focus light. If it’s damaged or diseased, it can cause pain, blurry vision, or even vision loss. We treat a range of corneal conditions—from infections and injuries to diseases like keratoconus—using the latest medical and surgical techniques, including corneal transplants when necessary. Keeping your cornea healthy is essential for sharp, comfortable vision.

Dry Eye

If your eyes often feel gritty, watery, or irritated, you might be dealing with dry eye disease. It happens when your tears aren’t keeping the surface of your eyes properly lubricated. We start with a detailed evaluation to figure out the underlying cause, whether it’s inflammation, blocked glands, or something else. From there, we offer personalized treatments that could include prescription drops, in-office procedures like LipiFlow®, or lifestyle changes to bring you relief and restore comfort.
