Dr. James Lehmann: Here at Focal Point Vision, we’re experts in treating glaucoma. So, what’s glaucoma? Glaucoma is a condition in which the pressure in the eye is elevated. It’s generally an inherited condition, and as it runs in families, it also affects people when they’re older age and if they’ve had any other previous ocular surgeries. So what are the treatments for glaucoma? Well, the first thing is drops. So fortunately, there are many drops available to help lower the pressure and stop the progression of glaucoma. Also, here at Focal Point Vision, we offer a wide range of minor surgical procedures to help lower the pressure, these range from a laser treatment to cataract surgery, which can also lower the pressure with glaucoma. So, if you have a family history of glaucoma or you have any questions about it, please ask our doctors here at Focal Point Vision.
