Meet Dr. Iltis
Ophthalmologist
Josh Iltis, a Texas native born in San Antonio and raised in Castroville, graduated with honors from Texas A&M University, earning both his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Biomedical Sciences. He completed medical school in San Antonio with a 4.0 GPA, graduating #1 in his class and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. His research during his time in medical school focused on glaucoma and retinal disease management. Dr. Iltis completed his residency in comprehensive ophthalmology in Louisville, KY.
Dr. Iltis specializes in advanced eye care treatments, including state-of-the-art cataract removal techniques with advanced intraocular lenses, LASIK, PRK, and other refractive surgeries. He offers cutting-edge glaucoma management, including advanced diagnostic testing, medical management, and surgical interventions with minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS) and traditional filtering procedures. He also treats keratoconus with techniques such as corneal cross-linking and intracorneal ring segments.
At home in Castroville, Dr. Iltis enjoys spending time with his wife and three-year-old son. In his free time, he likes golfing, hunting, and fishing on his family ranch and taking regular visits to College Station to support his Texas A&M Aggies football team.
