As the COVID-19 situation continues to evolve, FPV will remain open to safely see patients and perform surgery. We would like to sincerely thank everyone for their patience and understanding as we try to manage this uncertain situation. Our patients, staff and community safety are our upmost concern.
We are continuing to monitor updates from government agencies that govern and regulate our practice and surgery center. Beginning this Monday, Bexar County is mandating facemask in all public buildings and businesses. This is no news for us, but a good reminder for us to make sure we continue to wear our mask and try when possible, to keep distance between patients and staff. Please politely remind patients to wear masks at all times.
Governor Abbott’s executive order suspended elective surgeries at in-patient Hospitals. It does not apply to out-patient surgery centers, like ours, as we do not care for COVID-19 patients.
For the foreseeable future, we will continue to take all precautions necessary for the safety of our patients and our staff, which includes screening patients during verification phone calls as well as screening patients as they arrive for their visit. Patients will have the option to wait in their car rather than in our waiting room.
We have received amazing feedback from our patients regarding being open for care and the excellent care they are receiving from our doctors and staff. The patients are also appreciative of the precautions we are taking and the lengths we are going to, to make them feel comfortable. We thank our entire FPV staff for their efforts.
